Version 1.1 · effective 17 October 2026

This statement covers our website **useglimps.com** and our platform **platform.useglimps.com**. The rules differ per environment, so we treat them separately.

## 1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files placed on your device when you visit. We also use similar techniques, such as localStorage. In this statement we call all of that "cookies".

## 2. The website: useglimps.com

### Necessary storage, no consent required

| Name | Purpose | Retention |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `glimps_language` | Remembering your language choice | Until you clear it |
| `glimps_cookie_consent` | Remembering your "accepted" or "declined" choice | Until you clear or withdraw it |
| `__ph_opt_in_out_…` | Passing your choice to PostHog | Until you clear or withdraw it |

### Without consent: visitor statistics without cookies

We also measure visits with PostHog when you decline the cookie banner or do not answer it. This happens without cookies.

- PostHog then places nothing on your device. No cookies, no localStorage.
- PostHog's servers turn your IP address and browser details into a hash. The secret for that hash changes every day. This lets us count unique visitors per day. We cannot follow you across days. The IP address itself is not stored.
- We see which pages are visited, where visitors click and how fast pages load. We do not record sessions.
- The data is held in a European PostHog data centre. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the website.

### Only after your consent

| Service | Purpose | Recipient and location |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Google Analytics 4 | Visitor statistics | Google Ireland Ltd., Ireland |
| PostHog | Visitor analysis with cookies, heatmaps and session replay. Input fields are masked. | PostHog, European data centre |
| Crisp | Live chat and support conversations | Crisp, France |

PostHog, Inc. is a US company. Standard contractual clauses apply to that relationship.

If you decline the cookie banner or ignore it, we do not load Crisp, and Google Analytics and PostHog set no cookies. The website continues to work normally.

### Scheduling appointments

Our booking page runs on Cal.eu. We do not load a script or embed for it on our website. You open that page yourself through a link. From that point the cookie policy of that provider applies.

### Managing your choice

On your first visit we ask for consent through the cookie banner. Accept and decline are two equally reachable buttons. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the **Cookie settings** link at the bottom of every page.

## 3. The platform: platform.useglimps.com

### Necessary storage

| Name | Purpose | Retention |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Session token | Keeping you signed in | Session and refresh cycle |
| Display preferences | Remembering how you set up the platform | Maximum 7 days |

### Product analytics and session replay

We use PostHog in the platform for product analytics and session replay. This works differently from the website.

- It is **enabled by default** for all platform users. There is no banner in the platform.
- The configuration masks all input fields and all displayed text. Invoice content, amounts and free text do not end up in recordings.
- We use it for security, error investigation and product improvement. Not for advertising.
- The data is held in a European PostHog data centre. PostHog, Inc. is a US company. Standard contractual clauses apply to that relationship.
- Retention: 12 months for product analytics, 30 days for session recordings.

**Do not want this?** Send an email to support@useglimps.com from your account email address. We will disable analytics and session replay for your user. Your access to the platform does not change. If you are an administrator and want this arranged for your whole organisation, say so in the same email.

Accepting our terms of use describes this usage contractually. It does not replace consent where the law separately requires it.
