Where the difference shows up in practice

Trust is earned, not configured

At Glimps, a new supplier first waits for you. Once that supplier has built a clean track record, Glimps proposes by itself to let it post automatically, and you accept or not. One correction puts it a step back down automatically. A fully matched purchase order or an approved contract are the two other routes. According to their own knowledge base (22 December 2025), Basecone posts automatically on conditions set in advance, which you create per customer or supplier with a document type and an amount.

Every invoice arrives by itself

Connect your Microsoft 365 mailbox once and every invoice lands in Glimps by itself, also the reminder with the invoice attached, the forwarded mail and the invoice inside a mail thread. Nobody forwards invoices any more. Glimps reads the header and every line without templates, and proposes GL account, VAT and cost centre per line from your own history. When Glimps is not sure, the field stays empty instead of us guessing. Want to only watch first? Put the Inbox Agent in look-only mode. For comparison: according to their explanation of the booking proposal (updated on 13 February 2026), at Basecone you enter the invoice description manually in most cases, or have it filled by a booking rule.

A colleague who knows when to stop

Eight checks always stop an automatic posting, whatever level a supplier has: a possible duplicate invoice, a changed bank account, arithmetic that does not add up, an amount above your limit, a credit note or a currency that differs from usual. Glimps never pays, never raises its own level and never posts while a check is open. Every step is in the audit trail. And because Glimps takes suppliers, GL accounts, VAT codes, cost centres, projects, journals, purchase orders and receipts straight from Exact Online, a Glimps posting is a real posting, not a proposal.

That is why Glimps can not only prepare an invoice, but really post it.

Glimps does not train general models on your invoices: your data does not go to a model provider to train models with. Glimps does not learn across customers either, so what you correct stays within your own account. And when you connect your own AI assistant through the MCP server, it only has read access.

Yes. Glimps posts into your own Exact Online administration, so your accountant simply sees the postings there, with the audit trail next to them. Invoices that are already posted stay in Exact Online with their PDF, so you lose nothing, and you can let Glimps run next to Basecone for a while first.
