Where the difference shows up in practice

Reading is the start, posting is the work

In Klippa's own documentation (updated February 2025) the submitter must check all fields filled in by their OCR recognition and history suggestions, after which a finance user codes the invoice and clicks Save and book. Glimps takes those steps itself. It picks the next step, carries it out in Exact Online and records why. A new supplier is prepared and waits for you. A supplier you trust, Glimps posts itself. You set the limits up front and read along.

Supplier number 300 does not need filling in first

Klippa writes in its help article on booking (updated January 2024) that the first time you fill in the creditor, GL account and VAT code, after which Klippa remembers it for next time. At Glimps the work does not start with you. Glimps reads header and lines of every invoice, even from a supplier you have never had, and takes suppliers, GL accounts, VAT codes, cost centres and projects straight from Exact Online. The proposal per line comes from your own history, and when Glimps is not sure, the field stays empty instead of a guess.

Posting by itself, with a brake that pulls itself

Glimps posts by itself along three routes: a supplier with a clean track record, an invoice that fully matches a purchase order within tolerance, or an invoice covered by an approved contract. A supplier only moves up through a proposal you accept, and one correction moves it back down automatically. Eight checks stop a posting, whatever the level: a possible duplicate invoice, a changed bank account, a failed arithmetic check, an amount above your limit, a credit note or a currency that differs from history. Glimps never pays and never posts while a check is open.

According to their pricing page, Doxis SpendControl connects to accounting and ERP systems through an add-on of 50 euro per month (ERP: 100 euro). Which packages exactly, you can read on their own site. Glimps is built only for Exact Online, and the connection is in the price. Suppliers, GL accounts, VAT codes, cost centres, projects, journals per administration, purchase orders and receipts come straight from Exact, and that is exactly why Glimps can post an invoice by itself.

Through the Inbox Agent: you connect your Microsoft 365 mailbox once, and every invoice lands in Glimps by itself. That includes the reminder with the invoice attached, the forwarded mail and the invoice buried somewhere in a mail thread. Want to take a calm look first? Then let it only look along. The Inbox Agent is on every plan, and for another mail system you get your own invoice address. At Doxis SpendControl you forward invoices to your own Klippa email address or set up an automatic forward.

Yes, at line level. Glimps takes purchase orders and receipts straight from Exact Online and lays every invoice line next to them, with tolerances in euro and percent. A fully matched invoice within your tolerance can be posted by Glimps itself. PO matching is an add-on of 149 euro per month on Professional and Business. The Doxis SpendControl pricing page does not mention 3-way matching.

Glimps does not pass your data to a model provider to train general models, and it does not learn across customers. What Glimps learns from your corrections stays within your own account. If you connect Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server, it can only read. How Doxis handles your data is best read in their own terms.
